Rajendra Singh, popularly known as the Water Man of India have been recognized as one of the top ten members who could save this world. He has received the famous “Raman Magasasay Award” for community work and “Stockholm Water Prize” which is literally referred as The Nobel Prize for Water. His works where not simple, he has crossed several hardships to revive seven dead rivers in Rajasthan. His hard work on integrating and involving common public in reviving water bodies and traditional water management systems has made the desert land flourish with agriculture.
KALARI organized a contact program of school students with Rajendra Singh at S.B.O.A (CBSE Based) School, Nagamalai Pudukkottai. It was a wonderful interaction with teachers, students and other social activists.
